Your Best Friend will always help you…
Nightbird scowled at the screen in front of him, typing up the last few lines of his report. The entire day, The Owl, Knight, Hunter, Chanceless, and Sparrow had been avoiding him. Even Alphonse had avoided him during his entire warm up, not even for tea and cookies…
He wants his damn cookies.
Letting out a sigh, Nightbird saved the report and sent it off to the main frame for The Owl to read it over. Dragging himself over to the showers, he decided to spoil himself and take a long, hot shower for once.
Returning to his apartment, Tim stops at the sound of whispers in the room. Putting his ear to the door, he heard semi-familiar voices whispering to each other. A sudden crash startled the exhausted hero, causing him to jolt back from the door. Scowl returning, he pulls out a sparrow-rang (Kon pointed out that he was no longer Sparrow, Tim stuck out his tongue) out of his pouch and pushed the door open. A hush spread over the room as light from the hall spilled into the room. Stepping into the room, his eyes slowly readjusting to the darkness, Tim spin back to the door as it closed behind him. The room once again engulfed in darkness, Tim evened out his breathing, starting to become one with the dark, when the lights flipped on and the group yelled out, “HAPPY BIRTHDAY TIM!!” Tim let out a yelp (not a shriek. He doesn’t shriek… Kon’s not going to let him live it down is he?) and slipped on a spilled liquid, falling back and hitting his head on the floor, biting his tongue in the process. A silence spread across the room before Kon’s cackle burst out through the room. Alexis put her forehead on Alyssa’s shoulder, shaking with silent laughter while the rest of the room slowly started to join in laughing. Dakt gasped out an apology for not wiping up the liquid while picking up the glass before dissolving into snickers. Tim manages to sit himself up only to have a hand in his face. Following up the arm, Tim scowled at a smug looking Kon, taking the red head’s hand anyway.
“Didn’t realize you were a girl, Tim. Or should I call you Thea?” Kon snickered.
“Oh, shut up.”
…Right after he stops laughing his ass off.

I saw the best friend quote and all I could think of is Nightbird falling on his back and Kon helping him up. I'm so disappointed in myself. But, this is without a doubt one of my favorite things that I made for Nightbird seeing as soon everyone will be having a party for him and celebrate his day of birth. Alexis made him a scarf, one of her best (aka it's an actually a scarf) and Kon got him a computer chip with pictures of alot of the T.I.T.S. female members in bikinis. Have fun, Tim!
